Application Engineer Architect

• Contract start 4 Dec 2023 to 5 months, 1 x 3 months extensions.
• Any working visa, Brisbane, Sydney, or Perth role.

• Develops application software (new program code or enhancements to existing code) of medium to high complexity from detailed technical specifications (Technical).
• Develops database queries and stored procedures of medium complexity to support data analysis and/or technical programming responsibilities (Technical).
• Executes test scripts for system, integration and/or user acceptance testing and documents technical test results (Technical).
• Maintains awareness of current business trends (in consulting services and offerings, packaged solutions, and industry best practices) that are relevant to the company and clients (Business).
• Understands basic information about the structure of client assignments (e.g. project plan/scope, statement of work, pricing strategy) and how individual efforts contribute to timely and profitable delivery for the company (Management).
• Demonstrates professional image and presence; gains confidence of clients, management team and peers (Relationship Management).
• Active contribution to the design, technology and architecture choices and performance optimizations of the system
• Supporting the team in the creation of technical solutions
• Providing estimated timeframe and technical assessment of the tasks
• Working closely with business change and other program teams to fully understand functional requirements and dependencies.
• Discussing technical requirements with the client and Business Analysts, if needed
• Producing unit and integration tests as part of a thoroughly tested and robust development process.
• Develops ideas and communicates status, issues, designs and plans to peers and immediate manager both orally and in writing (Communication).

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Three or more years of experience in technical analysis and design, preferably within a consulting environment
• One to two years of relevant experience in a particular technical specialty area included
• Experience working with company, client, and/or equivalent vendor-mandated methodology
• Experience working with software, hardware, data and testing standards
• Experience working with delivery assurance principles and procedures
• Experience working with business, management, and technology concepts
• Experience with mining industry focus areas
