Food Manufacturing Maintenance Fitter
  • Full Time, permanent position
  • Shift - Afternoon shift, Monday - Friday
  • Mon-Thurs 2pm-10PM, Fridays - 12pm-6pm
  • Saturdays - 1 in every 6 Saturdays - with flexability
  • Hourly rate- Circa $45-47ph
  • OT rate- time and half for first 2 hours, then double time
  • Must be Citizen or PR
We're looking to hire a permanent Maintenance Fitter on behalf of our client, a successful, packaging manufacturer. Due to the nature of the role, a background in food manufacturing maintenance is essential. The company produces a range of beverage packaging and have high standards in the quality of their products and stuff.The roleAs a skilled Food Manufacturing Maintenance Fitter, the role will have you undertake a variety of tasks ranging from project work & insulations through to preventative maintenance, breakdowns, troubleshooting, and problem solving.Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the day-to-day efficient running of Plant Equipment.
  • Maintenance of plant and equipment inc; Preventative maintenance.
  • Diagnostics and fault finding.
  • Process improvement of plant and equipment.
  • Pipework and valves.
  • Process pumps.
  • Screw and belt conveyors.
  • Boiler and steam equipment.
  • Pneumatics and hydraulics.
  • Operate & Service Machinery.
  • Provide technical support to the production team.
  • Promote and adhere to Quality, OHS, and HACCP guidelines.
Experience:
  • Trade Qualified with a minimum of 4 years maintenance experience in a similar role in Manufacturing environments.
  • Experience using CMMS systems.
  • Hands on with an enthusiastic attitude
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Work autonomously and be a self-starter to be a part of an engaged team.
  • Forklift licence is an advantage.
