  • Translate the ambitions statements of YTT into cohesive and integrated plans; providing clarity on required outcomes and the alignment to the delivery of the corporate strategy.
  • Develop a best practice culturally intelligent approach for Water Corporation's way of working.
  • Strengthen coordination between initiatives, programs and activities, with a focus on building a shared sense of direction and alignment.

Embracing this is necessary to protect our most precious resource in a sustainable way for generations to come.About the roleThe Aboriginal Strategy and Reconciliation Senior Advisor plays a critical role in the development, implementation, and coordination of the Corporation's Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow strategy and Reconciliation Action Plan project planning. Both Strategies outline the Corporations vision to walk alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to build a sustainable water future for all Western Australians.Who are we?When you join Water Corporation, you play an important role for the people of WA.   • Lead and develop project briefs, project plans and stakeholder map and facilitate project team meetings ensuring projects are delivered to scope, time and budget
  • Provide post implementation project governance support and advice to ensure ongoing reviews are undertaken and improvements implemented
  • Engage relevant Senior Management on the implementation for Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow strategy (YTT)
Operational Excellence
  • Lead the successful implementation of the YTT Strategy project planning through the utilisation of Project Management principles and practices such as Analysis, Project Case development, Project Planning, Project Reporting, Risk Management, Stakeholder Engagement, Communications and Change Management
Stakeholder Engagement and Management
  • Identify, build and strengthen internal and external relationships to inform and support delivery of business outcomes, build trust and confidence and optimise collaboration and manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Interact effectively with a range of stakeholders whilst building relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including Traditional Owners, specialist consultants and government departments
About youWe are looking for a dynamic and experienced professional who brings a strong mix of qualifications and practical expertise. To be successful in this role, you will have (but not limited to):
  • Tertiary qualification in relevant field, supported by experience in strategy development and stakeholder engagement.
  • Considerable experience in supporting business processes and communications for a government or large, multidisciplinary corporation.
  • Considerable experience in coordinating and leading complex projects involving liaising with multiple committees and steering groups.
  • Considerable experience building and driving strategic collaborations with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong conceptual and analytical skills
  • Highly developed verbal/written communication, interpersonal, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Ability to engage key stakeholders at senior management levels.
  • Current knowledge of relevant legislation, policies and frameworks (State and Commonwealth) including Equal Opportunity Act 1984, Fair Work Act 2009, Closing the Gap National Agreement.
