You'll work at head office in Darwin and travel to regional stores, partnering with internal teams and major suppliers to deliver the right product, at the right price, in the right place - every time.What You'll Be Doing
  • Lead category planning, product selection, and supplier negotiations across food, grocery, and general merchandise.
  • Build long-term partnerships with major distributors like Coles, Woolworths, Bidfoods, Metcash, and more.
  • Review pricing integrity, manage promotional planning, and ensure margin targets are met.
  • Collaborate with retail and logistics teams to ensure stock is delivered in full, on time, and on budget.
  • Support store teams with core range implementation and product performance insights.
  • Travel to remote store locations to assess stock, gather feedback, and build relationships.
What You'll Bring
  • 3+ years in a buying, procurement, or category role (retail/FMCG/grocery/wholesale).
  • Experience in supplier negotiations, contract management, and margin control.
  • Strong data skills - you're comfortable working with reports, analysing performance, and making commercial decisions.
  • Excellent communication and adaptability - able to engage with everyone from store teams to executives.
  • A collaborative and community-minded attitude, with a drive to give back through your work.
  • Willingness to travel to regional and remote locations as part of your role.
