Design Manager required for a leading WA Commercial company, recognised top tier commercial builder, based from their office in Perth. They operate across Commercial, Residential, Education, Industrial, Health, & Government with projects up to $100M.As the Design Manager you will be responsible for managing the delivery of construction projects from inception to completion. You will be heavily involved from the front end, liaising with the client, the design team, and all relevant stakeholders.As the Design Manager you will be responsible for:
Selection and engagement of consultants to produce construction documentation
Manage consultants and coordinate the documentation process with consultants.
Run design meetings. Follow up issues raised by consultants.
Hand over documentation to the construction team and assist them during construction on design queries
Manage client during the design and construction process.
To be considered for the position of Design Manager you will require:
Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or similar
Minimum 8 years'+ Experience in a Design Management role
Previous experience working for a head contractor is essential
Experience within the ECI and Tender Phase as well as the Construction & Delivery Phase is advantageous
Experience working on new build construction projects valued $30M+
