The opportunity:Want a career in the engineering industry? We have a rare entry level opening to join our Electronics team as a Engineering / Product Support Drafter. This opportunity will provide you with in-depth mentoring in mechanical, electrical and electronics drafting through hands-on practical work, as you kick-start your career in this field.What are we looking for from you?With close mentoring and support, you will learn all aspects of an Engineering Drafter's day to day responsibilities, including:
  • Working closely with other drafters, engineers and workshop/production staff;
  • Preparing electronic product drawings and schematics using a range of design software;
  • Assist engineers with the development of 3D drawing solutions to mechanical design problems;
  • Producing documentation, design records and production packages for 'engineered to order' jobs;
  • Completing drawings for job estimates and quotations;
  • Providing technical support to customers.
Our goal is to develop you into a successful and passionate Engineering Drafter that plays a key role in the continued success of our Electronics offering. In doing so you will work with a passionate, fun and hardworking team that will support you on your journey down a rewarding career path.As an entry-level opportunity, most importantly we're looking for someone with a keen interest in the engineering industry and electronics, as well as a 'can-do' attitude. In addition, you will have:
  • Completed your HSC (or equivalent);
  • Cert IV in Engineering Drafting (or working towards);
  • A proven interest in electronics;
  • Competence in Microsoft Office applications;
  • Have a natural desire to take on new challenges;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
