- Provide clear direction and define priorities for the team
- Meet or exceed KPIs, sales targets and quotas for the sales region
- Monitor account performance and redirect efforts when goals are not being met
- Champion change efforts to increase sales effectiveness
- Negotiate contracts with customers at highest level as required
- Make tough, pragmatic decisions when necessary
- Plan, organise and administer sales region
- Translate business strategies into clear objectives and tactics
- Create realistic plans considering budget, staffing, and account responsibilities
- Prepare and follow up on sales forecasts, budgets, AP activities, and operating costs
- Anticipate risks and develop contingency plans
- Build strategic customer relationships
- Identify strategic business opportunities
- Establish effective relationships with key customers and employees
- Motivate and influence others
- Establish high standards and challenge team to remain accountable to achieve goals
- Act as a liaison between the sales force and other functions in the organisation to develop appropriate product support, pricing, etc.
- Shape sales strategy
- Develop and implement sales plans and strategies for the assigned sales region through a deep understanding of the market
- 3+ years of sales leadership experience preferably within medical devices/healthcare/pharma
- Willingness and ability to travel interstate and overseas where required
- Strong business acumen and analytical skills
- Proactive and results oriented approach with a history of high performance
- Ability to positively coach sales team and develop a Passion to Win
- Knowledge of current and emerging industry trends, technologies, and competitors
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to listen, articulate, and advocate
