- Lead the short-term planning function, ensuring the STP team produces detailed, actionable plans for all mining operations.
- Manage and mentor a team of engineers and planning staff, providing guidance to ensure efficient budget execution and adaptability in a dynamic operational environment.
- Act as a key liaison between Execution Leads and the Planning group, ensuring seamless coordination for all development, production, and rehabilitation activities with a focus on schedule, quality, and safety.
- Navigate a dynamic operational environment, using strong analytical and interpersonal skills to address real-time challenges such as grade variance, noise control, and blast planning. Your goal is to optimise sequences and schedules to ensure continuous performance improvement.

- Bachelor’s degree in mining engineering, Geology, or related discipline
- Extensive proven experience in a comparable position, ideally in the context of large open-cut mining or mine engineering.
- Proficiency in mine planning tools and software, with a preference for expertise in Minesight (including Planner and Atlas).
- Recognised within the professional community for technical proficiency, along with robust leadership and communication abilities.
- The capacity to make sound, timely, and data-driven decisions under pressure, particularly regarding operational efficiency, safety protocols, and project timelines.
