Evolution Windows are currently looking to recruit an experienced and qualified Wood Machinist to join their team in St Marys.The successful candidate will need to undertake and possess:- Analysing drawings, work orders, and sample parts to establish specifications. Assessing tooling and machine necessities and determining the sequence of operations.
- Arranging woodworking machines and wood stock for accurate cutting, planning, turning, shaping, and sanding.
- Eliminating previous finishes by utilizing steel wool and glasspaper for stripping, as well as applying solvents and paint strippers. Scraping off softened finishes.
- Assembling and securing frame pieces, and mounting backing materials and subjects for framing.
- Utilizing machines to cut, plane, turn, shape, and sand workpieces. Applying varnish, shellac, lacquer, stains, and paint to surfaces. Polishing and waxing finished surfaces.Skills and Abilities:- Ideally have a minimum of 3 years' experience as a qualified Wood Machinist or equivalent
- A Certificate in Wood Machining or relevant
