Ventia is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our Telecommunications/Wamarra team within the Critical Infrastructure division, based at North Plymton and Cavan office. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering detailed electrical designs and supporting project execution.Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

Developing electrical detailed designs for telecommunications infrastructure
Producing cost estimates for materials and labour
Assisting construction teams during project delivery
Updating databases and producing accurate as-built drawings

About You
We're looking for someone with a strong technical background and a proactive mindset. Ideally, you will bring:

Previous experience as an Electrical Engineer or Designer
Technical fluency in Low Voltage and DC power systems
Proficiency in preparing bills of quantities and interpreting CAD drawings
Strong skills in MS Office, particularly Excel for cost estimation
Familiarity with MS Access, Power Automation, and Power Apps (desirable)
A current manual driver's licence
Willingness to travel and work away from home when required
Understanding of ISO9001, OH&S legislation, and environmental licensing

Desirable Skills (Not Essential)

Experience designing solar and battery systems for commercial applications
Knowledge of solar industry regulations and standards
Basic understanding of LV/HV AC electrical systems
