As part of the St Francis College community we provide before school care, after school care and vacation care for up to 60 children ranging in ages from 5-13 years old, to support the families in our community. St Frances CEEC operates in the front hall building of St Francis College. St Francis is a small private school of just over 1100 students.OSHC is not just a child-minding service but provides a comprehensive activities-based program aimed at engaging students outside school hours to grow as happy, healthy, and well-rounded individuals. Our operations hours are before school care 6:00am-8:45am, after school care 2:45pm-6:00pm and 6:00am-6:00pm during vacation care.We are a small team of 4 with different cultural backgrounds and are looking to add to our team. We provide a positive and happy working environment and are focused on giving each team member the tools, skills, and opportunity’s to be able to learn and grow together and individually in this industry.About the Opportunity
We look for enthusiastic and energetic educators who are passionate about creating a safe and clean environment for primary school aged children and to deliver fun, engaging, and interactive activities. Our children love messy play activities, they enjoy hand and truck painting, making slime, playdough, and cloud dough. Our children also love music and outdoor play.We are looking for someone who has a positive attitude, enthusiastic, takes initiative, communicates effectively, and has a passion for working with children.All Educators report to the Service Coordinator. This is a casual position which is suitable for those who are currently studying, looking for additional hours or if wanting more hours, you can do so by working across multiple services.A day in the life of an OSHC Educator…

- A competitive hourly rate of $30.17 to $37.59 depending on qualifications and experience plus split shifts and uniform allowances.

- Hold a current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
- First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificate
- A passion for the education and care of school aged children in a play-based environment
- Effective workplace communication skills
