- Develop and implement security processes guidelines in support of Policy and Standards requirements.
- Supervise all aspects of operational security for the business area in line with local security strategy, policies, standards and best practice.
- Review and improve frameworks and functional processes aimed at developing and enhancing best practices and integrating efficient security solutions for the security environment.
- Manage security risk assessments and mitigation strategies in line with BAE Systems Australia standards and policy, as well as coordinating with Defence contractor owners as needed.
- Support and manage the security incident process, ensuring the reporting meets mandated timelines with coordinated security investigations.
- Manage, develop and support a team of Security professionals.
- Support and manage the operational security compliance activities.
- Manage security tasks and security services based on relevant policies, standards, procedures, legislation Defence Industry Security Program (DISP) and best practice of the assigned work stream.
- Australian Citizen, eligible to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting Level 2 Defence Security & ITAR clearance required (essential).
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Strong experience in all Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated experience in security and or a Defence Industry role, including sound knowledge of the Defence Security Principles Framework (DSPF), and the ability to inform and understand BAE Systems Australia's Company policy and procedures.
- Ability to demonstrate understanding and experience in relation to the implementation of security policy and process.
- Working knowledge of Cyber Security Policy and standards.
- Sound knowledge of Physical, Personnel and Information Security.
- Must hold or be able to gain a current Department of Defence Certificate in Security Officer Training.
- Sound knowledge in handling of physical assets and document security in relation to classified projects.
- Completion of the Commonwealth COMSEC course would be desirable.
