Our purpose drives what we do, to create better days and a place at the table for everyone through our trusted food brands.We’re re-investing back into our Botany-based Manufacturing Plant which has created the vacancy of Process Control & Instrumentation Technician. This exciting, newly created role is responsible for Electrical continuous improvement at the plant, through the ongoing development and maintenance of best practice processes.We have been manufacturing our breakfast range from our Botany plant for close to 100 years! Our manufacturing facility has obviously gone through many changes, extensions & modifications over this time. As we fuel for growth, this role will form part of the team ensuring that the plant continues to sustain production and evolve so we continue to produce our iconic cereals for many more years to come!A taste of what you’ll be doing:-
  • Responsibility for escalations of electrical faults in the plant that can’t be resolved by Shift Electricians.
  • Leading route cause analysis activities for electrical faults and ensure failures are eliminated from operations
  • Work with Electrical Supervisor to identify obsolete components and develop a plan to ensure the plant is kept operational
  • Coach and qualify Electricians on current & new technologies to improve overall team capability
  • Ensure adherence to all standard work processes, including our lean manufacturing model (KWS) processes, auditing quality of work against required standards
Your recipe for successt:-The successful candidate will hold either an Electrical Engineering degree or Electrical trade, coupled with a current NSW Electrical License. You will have previous experience with PLC’s (ideally Allen Bradley, Siemens & Omron will also be considered) and drives. A career in a Manufacturing environment – ideally food or beverage would be ideal.You will have the ability to work both independently as well as part of a team and to direct resources effectively. A key part of your role will be to pass on your experience and learnings through documentation or instructional videos – so good communication skills are essential to ensure this information is easy to follow.This is a large and complex site producing big volumes and operating 24x7, so someone who has good problem-solving abilities, negotiation skills and who can work as part of a cross-functional operational team to get the job done.More about Kellanova:Kellanova is a leading company in global snacking, international cereal and noodles and plant-based foods.
