Based from their Geelong site and reporting into the CFO, you will act in a pivotal leadership role where you will shape the finance function - blending technical expertise with strategic influence.About the Role
The Financial Controller will be responsible for driving financial excellence across the business, leading financial stewardship, governance, and scalability, while acting as a trusted partner to the senior leadership and finance function.
This role is a hands-on yet highly strategic role—ensuring compliance and control while delivering the insights that power growth.Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee financial reporting across multiple entities, delivering accurate and timely accounts, management reports, and dashboards.
- Build and maintain a robust financial control framework, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, tax obligations, and audit requirements.
- Design and implement finance systems and processes to support business growth, including automation and cash flow optimisation.
- Provide financial modelling, pricing analysis, and scenario planning to support strategic decisions.
- Partner with client-facing teams on projects such as M&A, restructuring, and due diligence.
- Lead and mentor the finance team, while building financial capability across the broader business.
To be considered for the role, you will be able to demonstrate the following:
- CA/CPA qualification with at least 5+ years’ experience in financial control or senior accounting.
- Experience in consulting, professional services, or scaling businesses (preferred).
- Strong technical expertise in reporting, compliance, and cash flow management.
- Proven ability to manage multiple entities and implement scalable finance processes.
- Proficiency with Xero and other financial systems.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
