- Develop and implement business development strategies in alignment with company goals, to drive revenue and identify growth opportunities.
- Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and assess market trends.
- Create and execute plans to penetrate new markets or expand existing ones.
- Implement and coordinate the marketing initiatives supporting the business development strategy.
- Identify opportunities for the legal teams to establish connections with potential clients to generate business leads.
- Develop and implement strategies to assist the partners to build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, referrers, and key stakeholders.
- Through client listening ensuring client satisfaction and alignment with organisational goals.
- Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, to develop integrated approaches to business growth.
- Provide leadership and mentoring to junior team members and colleagues on business development initiatives.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of client solutions.
- Track and analyse the performance of business development initiatives.
- Prepare regular reports for management on progress, challenges, and opportunities.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and adjust strategies as needed.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to design and implement business plans and growth strategies that align with organisational goals.
- Market Analysis: Expertise in researching market trends, competitors, and client needs.
- Tenders & Pitching: Strong capabilities in pitching, coaching project teams and;
- Financial Acumen: Understanding budgets, financial forecasting, and revenue growth.
- Interpersonal Skills: Building strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
- Presentation Skills: Delivering compelling pitches and proposals.
- Written Communication: Crafting clear and professional documents, such as tenders, reports, and marketing materials.
- Team Leadership: Guiding and mentoring team members to achieve shared goals.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working effectively across departments like marketing, finance, and operations.
- Account Management: Maintaining and growing relationships with key clients.
- CRM Proficiency: Using tools to manage client data, track opportunities, and generate reports.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Analysing metrics to assess performance and refine strategies.
- Digital Marketing Knowledge: Familiarity with tools and platforms that enhance outreach and engagement.
- Problem-Solving: Tackling challenges creatively and efficiently.
- Adaptability: Staying flexible in dynamic environments and market conditions.
- Resilience: Maintaining persistence and positivity in the face of setbacks
- Minimum 7 years post qualification business development & marketing or related experience, with at least 2 years of BD manager level experience.
- Experience working in a professional services environment.
