About the rolesWe are seeking dedicated and compassionate Consultant Psychiatrists with expertise in Forensic Psychiatry to provide specialised inpatient psychiatric care to adult and adolescent patients within secure forensic mental health facilities.As the successful applicant, you will work with highly skilled and supportive multidisciplinary teams comprised of medical practitioners, nurses, psychologists, social workers, and other allied health professionals. Together, you will provide comprehensive care across the clinical spectrum, including high-dependency units, acute crisis intervention, long-stay therapeutic environments, and recovery-focused rehabilitation services.Your core responsibilities will include performing expert mental health assessments, formulating treatment plans, and delivering ongoing clinical care within correctional campuses and other secure forensic settings. You will play a pivotal role in supporting patients’ recovery journeys by applying evidence-based practices, maintaining clinical excellence, and adhering to both organisational protocols and legislative standards.These positions offer the opportunity to work in a highly specialised field where your expertise will have a significant and lasting impact on some of the most vulnerable individuals in our community.
