As a Senior Finance Analyst supporting Alcon’s Surgical Business Unit, you will be trusted to drive strategic decision-making by analyzing commercial opportunities with a financial and profitability perspective. You will act as a key business partner to the Surgical Sales team and the Finance Business Planning and Analysis Manager (BPA), contributing to business growth.In this role, a typical day will include:
Partnering with the Sales team to review and analyze the profitability of sales opportunities, supporting business case development and strategic planning.
Participating in business reviews with senior management and supporting month-end closing tasks in collaboration with the Accounting and BPA teams.
Acting as a backup to the local BPA, with exposure to European senior management and the opportunity to evolve into a BPA role.
Coordinating with the EMEA Accounting Center of Excellence to manage reports and KPIs related to Equipment Revenue.
Monitoring contract performance, providing insights to the Finance and Sales Committee, and recommending actions for underperforming contracts.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate revenue recognition and compliance with corporate finance policies.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:
Education: Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field. Business school background is a plus.
Experience: 3–4+ years in financial analysis, ideally in healthcare or Big 4. Experience partnering with Sales teams is essential.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in SAP, Excel, PowerPoint is mandatory. Power BI or Tableau is a plus.
Languages: Fluency in Spanish and English is required. Portuguese is a plus.
Behaviors: Strong analytical mindset, critical thinking, precision, and curiosity. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to build strong relationships and thrive under pressure.
