For more information on Centurion visit (centurionmine.com.au)Reporting to the Manager Engineering and Maintenance your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
  • Managing and Coordinating repairs as per TARP for Asset Related Production Delays
  • Providing clear, concise instruction to Overhaul engineers (Quality / Quantity / Resources / Time)
  • Supervision of mechanical tasks as required.
  • Ensuring Control & Management of contractors and coal mine personnel performing mechanical work (leave, attendance, performance, and reporting management)
  • Ownership of the mechanical portions of the Maintenance Management system
  • Providing clear, concise instruction to direct reports (Quality / Quantity / Resources / Time)
  • Ensuring that all relevant sections pertaining to mechanical work, both explicit and implicit, of the Queensland Coal Mining Safety & Health Act and Regulations, are compiled within.
  • Developing, in conjunction with the Projects and Maintenance Engineers, capital maintenance plan in relation to major refurbishments, replacements and upgrades of mechanical assets.
About you:Requirements for the position:
  • Relevant Mechanical Trades qualification.
  • Mechanical Engineering Diploma/ Degree
  • Reliability Engineering certificate
  • Tertiary qualifications in Maintenance & Asset Management
  • Mechanical Engineering certificate of competence.
  • S1, S2, S3 Supervisory competences
  • G2 Competences
  • ICAM and/or RCA certificate of competence
Experience:
  • Minimum 10 years post trade maintenance experience with fixed & mobile mining equipment.
  • 5 years coal mining experience in a supervisory role for engineering and/or maintenance.
  • Experience in Planning & Execution Techniques
  • High level of understanding and knowledge of CMMS (SAP) systems.
  • Equipment reliability trending analyst
  • Interpretation of Oil & Filter reports
  • Interpretation of VA & thermography reports
  • Continuous Improvement methodology
  • Knowledge of conducting safety inspections and completing JSEA's, Risk assessments & Permits.
