OverviewThe Registered Midwife is an integral part of the multidisciplinary maternity team providing woman centred care that is focused on individual needs, expectations and aspirations to achieve optimal birthing outcomes.RMCLHN Maternity Services offer Midwifery Group Practice as standard at all three of it's birthing sites. The Midwifery casual pool offers Registered Midwives and Registered Nurse/Midwives the opportunity to work as part of the Murraylands and/or the Riverland Midwifery teams providing casual roster cover and leave back-up.The Registered Nurse/Midwife provides midwifery services in health service and community settings. Employees working within this level develop from novice practitioners to a proficient level of professional practice. They consolidate knowledge and skills and develop in capability through continuous professional development and experience.
