- Design, develop, and support systems throughout their lifecycle, ensuring compliance with safety and management policies.
- Apply systems engineering principles in planning, design, implementation, and testing of new and upgraded systems.
- Manage technology change processes, configuration management, and risk tracking.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance, including safety and security considerations.
- Prepare technical documentation, test plans, and performance reports.
- Investigate and resolve complex system issues, ensuring system reliability and maintainability.
- Maintain awareness of industry standards, emerging technologies, and best practices.
- Promote safety behaviours, participate in hazard reviews, and ensure compliance with safety policies.
- Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Technology from an accredited institution.
- Eligibility for registration as a Professional Engineer (e.g., RPEQ).
- Proven experience in systems engineering, telecommunications system design, testing, and implementation.
- Demonstrated stakeholder and vendor management skills.
- Strong documentation skills with experience in solution architecture and system design.
- Desirable: Knowledge of Information Security Manual (ISM) principles and controls.
- Extensive experience in systems development, design, and testing at a high leve
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a high-performing team.
