- an international reputation as an authority in their discipline or area of expertise, with a supporting research profile including competitive research grants, publications and evidence of recognition within the broader research community
- strong research track record in the pharmacological sciences, including but not limited to experimental and molecular pharmacology, drug discovery, structure-function relationships and translational biology.
- experience in translation and commercialisation, which may include bringing compounds through the drug development pipeline or developing and pre-clinical evaluation of biomarkers
- a proven track record in scaling research from single-investigator projects to consortia-driven programs
- demonstrated ability to foster interdisciplinary research which delivers outcomes against milestones
- experience in people leadership and management within the higher education/knowledge worker sector or industry
- a strong track record in supervision and mentorship of higher degree students and early career researchers
- a wide network of established relationships with academic, industry and professional institutions.
