Based in Belrose you will collaborate with an amazing team of engineers, testing high quality professional software for significant warehouse automation projects. As a Software Test Engineer, you will be responsible for maximising the quality of the software delivered to customers by writing and executing test plans.Bring your positive attitude and team player commitment and see your projects come to life. As this is a customer facing role, "Soft skills” are as important as tech.As a logistics solutions system integrator, Dematic delivers highly complex, full warehouse solutions including a full range of materials handling and storage systems linked with advanced warehouse software. Our customers include businesses of all sizes in the industries of eCommerce, retail, manufacturing, exporting, parcel services, and many others.The purpose of the Global Products and Solutions team is to develop leading-edge technology to be used by our Project Engineering divisions globally, allowing Dematic/KION to maintain and grow in its position as a market leader.Travel across the Asia Pacific region supporting key clients with meetings and site commissioning. The hours of work are typically Monday to Friday with the requirement to support Weekend works as required.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESWriting and executing test plansCoordinating Factory and Site Testing Specifications and reports for assigned projectsParticipate in code reviewsPlan and coordinate all testing activitiesProvide leadership to other less experienced team membersProvide assistance to the IT Engineering group for customer support as requiredProvide product expertise to support the sales process as requiredFollow the Dematic development quality processes and proceduresActively contribute to the improvement of software testing processesTake an active role in the development team processes to improve product testabilityContribute to a development environment that fosters technical excellence and teamwork.Tasks and Qualifications:ABOUT YOUSuccessful candidates will possess the following:3 – 4 years Software Test Engineering experienceA Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical EngineeringA solid understanding of .NET, C# and SQLServerExperience developing Test Automation and using of scripting languages e.g. Ruby, PythonExperience testing software solutions in the mechatronics/robotics/automation domains.Good written and verbal communication skillsA sound knowledge of MS Office applicationsAn understanding of OHS requirementsWillingness and availability to travel to customer sites throughout the Asia Pacific region during site commissioning stages (up to 2 months at time)A friendly and cooperative attitudeWHAT WE OFFER YOULocal and International travelProject based workExposure to a wide range of technologies and processes, excellent experience in practical software engineering skills, SQL Database and infrastructure, IT infrastructure, and engineeringProgressive and innovative global company experiencing high growthCareer Development and Global OpportunitiesCompetitive salary, with salary packaging and novated leasing availableCorporate discounts on car rentals and IT products/accessoriesPaid Parental Leave + super: 12 weeks for primary carer/2 weeks secondaryPurchase LeaveStudy AssistanceSocial ClubEmployee Referral ProgrammeWHY BRING YOUR CAREER TO DEMATICThis is an exciting time to join Dematic.
