A great work ethic;
Able to work well within a multi-cultural team environment as part of a team;
Able to communicate effectively in English;
Be flexible working day, afternoon or night shift, and able to work long hours and weekends;
Are reliable;
Have a good level of physical fitness and able to lift 20kg;
Ability to follow and set the standards of safe working procedures;
Australian citizenship/residency or a valid Australian work visa allowing work until at least May 2026.Important information about the positions:
- Casual rate of pay according to site Enterprise Agreement which includes overtime and shift loading allowances;
- Own transport is essential;
- Current Australian forklift tickets desirable but not essential;
- Work hours will vary depending on the position and will be aligned to the season's conditions.
We have a variety of roles needed for vintage 2026 these include:Assistant Winemaker Role
- Previous and multiple vintage experience is essential for this role. Specific job training is/will be provided.
- Previous wine industry experience is essential.
- Knowledge of wine management system (Vintrace) would be highly desirable but not essential.
- Requires a skilled and knowledgeable individual that has either previous experience at senior cellar hand level and/or seasonal assistant winemaking roles and or is looking for another step in their winemaking career.
- Role will involve liaising with site winemakers.(Cellar) Supervisor Role
- Previous and multiple vintage experience is essential for this role. Previous supervisor or team leader experience highly desirable but not essential. Specific job training is/will be provided.
- Requires a skilled and knowledgeable individual that has either lead a vintage team before or is looking for the next step in their winemaking career.
- Role will involve liaising with winemakers, delegating work to cellar hands and ensuring the work is done following MRV procedures.
- Requires great people management, communication skills, as well solid winemaking knowledge.Vintage Cellar Hand Roles
Previous vintage experience is highly desirable but not essential. Specific job training is/will be provided for individuals.
Crush and Press cellar hands:
Role will require you to work in the receival area where you will be unloading/loading trucks, operating the crusher, additions, cleaning bins, operating presses, cleaning presses, press cuts, filling and emptying/jetting red fermenters.
General cellar hands:
Role will require you to work in the general cellar area where you will be racking juice/wine, float tanks, make additions, wine/juice transfers, barrel work, tanker loading/unloading, and pump overs. We also will require some cellar hands to run equipment such as an RDV, centrifuge, and crossflow.Vintage Laboratory Personnel Role:
Previous vintage laboratory experience desirable but not essential. Specific job training will be provided. The role will include sample collection, crushing vineyard grape samples and running analysis, as well as daily juice, ferment and wine analysis.Vintage employment will start beginning of January 2026 and generally run for 10 - 12 weeks.
