Reporting to the Site Manager, the Warehouse Manager will oversee all warehouse operations, including inventory control, logistics, compliance, and people leadership. Managing a team of six (forklift drivers, bagging line operators, and administration support), the role is pivotal in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations while driving system and team capability improvements. This role comes with a strong focus on Safety leadership.
This position is Monday to Friday, with standard hours of 6:00am–2:30pm. While occasional Saturday runs may need to be arranged for the team, there is no requirement for the Warehouse Manager to be physically onsite—availability via phone is sufficient.Key responsibilities include:
- Leading, mentoring, and developing the warehouse team.
- Ensuring accurate and efficient inventory control and stock movements.
- Overseeing logistics, dispatch, and compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Conducting toolbox talks, meetings, and ongoing staff engagement.
- Working closely with the Warehouse 2IC (Administration) and other site stakeholders.
- Documenting and improving existing processes, capturing knowledge from a long-tenured predecessor.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, systems, and team capability.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager or in a similar leadership role within manufacturing, logistics, or related industries.
- Strong people leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to build capability and drive team engagement.
- Proven Safety focus with a history of key outcomes achieved.
- Solid knowledge of warehouse operations, including inventory management, logistics, compliance, and safety.
- A track record in process improvement and system optimisation.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Forklift licence and practical warehouse knowledge will be highly regarded.
