- Provide clinical assessment and psychiatric treatment to children, adolescents, and youth.
- Deliver leadership and guidance to multidisciplinary teams, including general practitioners, healthcare providers, and community agencies.
- Oversee the implementation of the Infant, Child, and Adolescent Taskforce recommendations.
- Chair clinical review processes and ensure adherence to the Mental Health Act and other legislation.
- Advocate for mental health needs in planning forums and liaise with key stakeholders.
- Mentor and support mental health staff and general practitioners in a shared care model.
- Participate in quality improvement projects and professional development initiatives.

- Fellowship with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) or
- Fellowship of the College of Anaesthesiologists of Ireland (or as previously named, the College of Anaesthetists of Ireland) (FCAI), together with a Certificate of Satisfactory Completion of Specialist Training (CSCST) or
- Fellowship of the Royal College of Anaesthetists (RCA), together with a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT).
- Registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
- Experience in child and adolescent mental health.
- Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
