Let’s make a meaningful difference, together!Your part in our Wesley Hospital teamHealth Information Clerks (HICs) play a vital role in delivering a high-quality, confidential health information service across UnitingCare Hospitals.Working in accordance with national standards and organisational policies, HICs are responsible for a broad range of health information related duties.This role will include duties such as scanning, filling, retrieving and maintaining accuracy of patient records, with their key focus being the accurate and efficient conversion of paper-based medical records into the Digital Medical Record (DMR).What makes a difference for us?

  • Proficient computer skills
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Flexibility to work a range of shifts Mon-Sun; shift times between 7am and 5pm
  • Previous medical records and/or scanning experience is preferable
  • An understanding of medical terminology through experience or Certificate in Medical Terminology would be an advantage
  • Willingness to obtain required vaccinations in line with hospitals infection control requirements
