The Team:Short Stay Surgical Unit (SSSU) is a fast paced, dynamic unit supporting elective surgery and emergency admissions. Working closely with all surgical specialities to achieve approved outcomes for our consumers, our workforce and the Tasmania community.The Role:The Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) works in partnership with the Nurse Unit Manager, to ensure the efficient and effective provision of care based on best practise principles within a collaborative framework. The ANUM assists with the day-to-day management of the elective surgeries and emergency admissions, ensuring patient flow management and access is maintained.You will need:

Be able to work under pressure, in a fast paced, dynamic and ever changing environment.
Have a good understanding of hospital wide patient flow and work to provide efficient access to care.
Assist the NUM after hours with staffing requirements or concerns.

Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10 % based on qualification type
