The Team:Short Stay Surgical Unit (SSSU) is a fast paced, dynamic unit supporting elective surgery and emergency admissions. Working closely with all surgical specialities to achieve approved outcomes for our consumers, our workforce and the Tasmania community.The Role:The Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) works in partnership with the Nurse Unit Manager, to ensure the efficient and effective provision of care based on best practise principles within a collaborative framework. The ANUM assists with the day-to-day management of the elective surgeries and emergency admissions, ensuring patient flow management and access is maintained.You will need:
  • Be able to work under pressure, in a fast paced, dynamic and ever changing environment.
  • Have a good understanding of hospital wide patient flow and work to provide efficient access to care.
  • Assist the NUM after hours with staffing requirements or concerns.

Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
  • Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
  • Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10 % based on qualification type

  • Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
