- Designing product packaging and basic graphics for visualisation and concept presentations, as well as products for custom applications.
- Supporting the creation of product illustrations, concept sketches, diagrams, design specifications and technical drawings (die lines).
- Evaluating design ideas with consideration of appearance, design-function relationships, serviceability, materials and methods engineering, application, budget, price, production costs, methods of production, market characteristics, and client specifications.
- Fulfilling our speed-to-market agenda, driving our digital strategy
- Providing day to day quoting support to our sales team members
- Contributing and participating in the tender process from initial quoting through to commercial analysis
- Improving customer margin by identifying cost savings opportunities on new and existing materials
- Being the key contact in various project work that requires quoting, costing and onboarding of customers
- Packaging design and estimating experience
- The ability to articulate and communicate creative ideas via concept sketching or verbal presentations
- A good understanding of 3-dimensional form and space
- Ability to prepare accurate technical specifications (e.g. die lines) for quotation & manufacturing
- Ability to use CAD programs to create models & renderings
- Ability to build physical models and prototypes to bring creative concepts to life
- Ability to work independently and prioritise with good time & project management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
