
ICT Project Manager | QLD Govt

- Initial contract until 30/06/2026 with possible extension paying approx. $120/hr
- Brisbane CBD Location with flexibility to WFH 2 days per week
- Strong experience in managing IT infrastructure, cloud, and application development projects
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple IT projects concurrently, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Work with stakeholders to define project requirements, scope, objectives, and success criteria.
- Collaborate closely with the Portfolio Manager and Enterprise Architect to ensure project alignment with strategic priorities, architectural standards and governance requirements.
- Coordinate internal and external resources, including technical teams, vendors, and service providers.
- Develop and maintain project documentation, including project plans, risk registers, and status reports.
- Manage project risks and issues proactively and escalate where appropriate.
- Facilitate effective communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ensure that all projects adhere to governance standards, including change management and quality assurance processes.
- Monitor and report on project progress to senior management and governance bodies.
- Support procurement activities, including drafting technical requirements and evaluating vendor proposals.
- Promote continuous improvement and lessons learned across all project activities.
- Strong experience in managing IT infrastructure, cloud, and application development projects.
- Proficiency with project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, PRINCE2, PMBOK).
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work across multiple projects simultaneously.
- Technical literacy to understand complex ICT environments and translate technical concepts for business audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage vendor relationships.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Project Management, or a related discipline is highly desirable.
- Certification in project management (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP, Agile) is highly desirable.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a project management role within an ICT or digital environment.
- Experience working in or with government or large enterprise environments is an advantage.
