About The RoleAnglicare is currently going through a period of organisational transformation, a process which has resulted in the growth of our organisation! As such, we are looking for a 'Village Accountant' to join Anglicare's Seniors Living business unit. This is a Permanent Full-Time role based at Norwest.The purpose of this role is to support our retirement living managers in the management of their financial accounts. This role is critical in ensuring that key leadership stakeholders are in control of their villages' finances, and that financial data is accurate and accessible.Some key responsibilities will include:
  • Contribute to the development and coaching of operational staff in understanding financial results, reporting, KPIs and dashboards to uplift internal capabilities
  • Ensure accurate financial results by conducting monthly reviews across site P&Ls, adjusting where necessary and engaging with site owners / shared services
  • Contribute to annual budgeting and rolling forecast processes
  • Identify gaps and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency of the finance function in Seniors Living
  • Support the completion of the annual audit process across villages
About YouThis role would suit someone who is task oriented and structured, who is organised and has a keen eye for detail. Given the strong focus on financial management, this role will require the successful candidate to know how to manage a P&L, work through audits, and conduct analysis of current processes to identify improvements.However, at the same time it will require someone with well developed stakeholder management skills in order to help support and train others in financial accounting skills. Building strong relationships with key stakeholders and management will be pivotal to success in this position.We are looking for a candidate with:
  • Strong financial management skills
  • Highly developed stakeholder management ability
  • Tertiary qualifications in finance, business or similar
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
