About Our Client

Our client is a retail and e-commerce company that sell home improvement tools and solutions. With year on year exponential growth, our client needs an experienced and passionate Level 1 Helpdesk professional to come on board and hit the ground running to respond to our customer and employee technical issue requests and help maintain the smooth running of the business.

Job Description
  • IT Support relating to technical issues involving Microsoft's core business applications and operating systems
  • Support of disaster recovery solutions
  • Basic technical support at the network level: WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and security
  • Basic remote access solution implementation and support: VPN, Terminal Services, and Citrix
  • Monitor the remote monitoring and management system alerts and notifications, and respond accordingly through service tickets
  • System documentation maintenance and review
  • Communication with customers as required: keeping them informed of incident progress, notifying them of impending changes or agreed outages
The Successful Applicant
  • Tertiary qualification in IT or related field
  • 2 years' experience in a similar role providing level 1 technical support within a business
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Passionate about technology
  • Energetic and team player
