Audiologist Intern

• Eligible for Full membership with Audiology Australia or enrolled in a Master of Audiology and eligible within 6 months of employment to be registered with the Audiology Australia Clinical Internship Program;
• Work in line with established practices that are responsive to the needs of the community;
• Ability to partner with service users, including them in goal setting, care planning and care co-ordination to identify and address health and wellbeing goals;
• Demonstrated well developed written, verbal and interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate sensitively in a cross-cultural environment with Aboriginal clients and staff;
• Current Drivers Licence or the ability to obtain
• Willingness, ability and appropriate levels of health and fitness to travel to and work from remote locations.
• Is of Aboriginal descent; identifies as an Aboriginal person; and is accepted as an Aboriginal person by the Aboriginal community
• An understanding of the historical and contemporary context of Aboriginal health, the social determinants of health, and the philosophy and practice of Aboriginal Community Control;
• Experience in remote primary health clinic environments.
