As a Warehouse Goods Handler, you will play a key role in the accurate and timely handling of products, from receiving to dispatching. This position requires someone with excellent attention to detail, a strong focus on customer service, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You'll be responsible for maintaining high standards in the warehouse while supporting both internal and external customer needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receiving (40%): Receive and book incoming goods, process returned items, and ensure everything is stored properly and promptly.
- Materials Handling (50%): Pick, check, pack, and ship orders. Manage incoming shipments and ensure the warehouse is secure and organised. Handle customer inquiries efficiently.
- OH&S in the Warehouse (5%): Follow all Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) guidelines, reducing risks by using proper manual handling techniques.
- Training (3%): Participate in training activities, including acting as a trainer when required.
- Quality Systems (2%): Ensure compliance with ISO9000:2000 standards in all warehouse operations.
IDEALLY Looking for, but not essential
- 3+ years of experience in warehouse and distribution, ideally in health care.
- Experience with electronic bar-code and inventory systems, including SAP.
- Familiarity with cycle counting and discrepancy investigations.
- Strong customer focus: Listen, anticipate needs, and respond quickly.
