- Deliver measurable sales growth across designated venues and catering by identifying and securing new business opportunities.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to increase group bookings, private functions, and event sales.
- Build, manage, and report on a robust sales pipeline - ensuring conversion rates and revenue targets are consistently met.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, event agencies, university and community groups.
- Negotiate and close contracts for large bookings, events, and catering packages.
- Attend industry networking functions, expos, and client meetings to generate leads and build Harveys’, TOS, and catering’s profile.
- Collaborate with marketing and venue operations to deliver targeted campaigns and exceptional customer experiences.
- Monitor competitor and market activity, providing insights to influence business strategy.
- Prepare detailed sales activity reports and revenue forecasts for leadership.
- Uphold the values and reputation of TMG in all dealings.
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management in hospitality, events, or catering.
- Demonstrated track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets and driving commercial growth.
- Strong commercial acumen, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Highly motivated and energetic with a “hunter” mindset for new business for multiple venues.
- Adept at building and leveraging professional relationships within Melbourne’s hospitality or events sectors.
- Well-organised, able to manage multiple leads and priorities over multiple venues.
- Flexible to work occasional evenings/weekends for events.
- Knowledge of the local market and a strong industry network are advantageous.
