As the CNC Machinist, you will produce billet aluminium machined parts by programming with SolidCAM, setting up and operating the latest milling technologies from DMG Mori, Datron & Kenichi, as well as maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping records and maintaining equipment and supplies. You will be working from our recently build Melbourne facility which utilises some of the latest CNC technology.This role is responsible for:
- Programming using CADCAM Software and editing programmes as required.
- Setting up CNC Machining mechanical components in accordance with drawings.
- Preparing and loading raw materials and parts to machines.
- Supervising the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments.
- Inspecting and measuring finished products and compare them with requirements.
- Checking and maintaining machinery daily to ensure functionality.
- Programming using CADCAM Software and editing programmes as required.
- Operating within CEA's quality Production, Engineering, Quality Management and WHS standards.
- Actively participating in team activities and meetings and contribute to a positive and productive workplace culture.
- Performing factory and administrative duties as directed.
- CNC Machinist with a minimum of 5 year post trade Computer Numerical Control (CNC) experience or completion of Certificate IV Engineering CNC.
- Competent in use of CNC controls. Heidenhaim, Siemens, FANUC preferably.
- Competent in use of a high end CAM system, SolidCAM, MasterCAM, NX, EdgeCAM.
- Meticulous attention to detail, ability to maintain focus and sound hand/eye coordination skills.
- Competent in use of precision Measuring tools, hand tools at an advanced level.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings.
- Competent in use of Microsoft applications including Chrome, Excel, Word, Outlook
- Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing organisation priorities and ambiguous environments.

- An Australian Citizen
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an AGSVA clearance (Baseline/NV1)
