- Identify and assess potential external training providers that meet the needs of project training requirements, ensuring they comply with RTO, industry and John Holland's quality training standards and needs.
- Negotiate, obtain and uphold best possible terms, including competitive rates, without compromising on quality of training delivered.
- Maintain strong relationships with these providers to facilitate ongoing collaboration and service improvement.
- Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure that all training meets or exceeds John Holland's and industry standards.
- Develop metrics and evaluation processes to measure the effectiveness of training providers and courses. Collect feedback from participants and stakeholders to inform future training partnering decisions.
- Maintain records of all training organisations, agreements, communications, and evaluations.
- Prepare reports when required on training provider performance, cost-effectiveness, and compliance.
- Supply training information / data to support reporting efforts as required.
- Maintain a comprehensive list of training providers used at John Holland, including
- National Partnership organizations
- Preferred Provider Panel - listing all vetted training organizations.
- Market Place Panel - new providers yet to establish themselves on the Panel.
- Construction Industry Knowledge: Specialized knowledge of construction industry training.
- Training Standards & Compliance: Understanding of the Australian Qualification Framework (AQF), RTO certification and regulatory / legislative requirements relating to construction industry training.
- Vendor Management: Knowledge of sourcing, evaluating, and managing relationships with external vendors, including negotiation skills and contract management.
- Budget Management: Experience in optimizing costs and ensuring a good return on investment for training expenditures.
- Project Management: Skills in organizing, managing, and tracking multiple initiatives simultaneously, often under tight deadlines.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Capacity to interact well with a variety of external and internal stakeholders, including training providers, accreditation bodies, government agencies and industry experts.
- Performance Evaluation: Experience in developing and implementing evaluation metrics to assess the effectiveness of training programs.
- Quality Assurance: Familiarity with quality assurance methodologies and experience in implementing processes to ensure training quality and effectiveness.
- Learning & Development Best Practices: Awareness of current trends, technologies, and methodologies in training and professional development.
