At BMD, we pride ourselves on our commitment to quality, safety, and innovation in every project & tender we undertake. With a focus on infrastructure construction, we specialize in delivering projects for MRWA, WaterCorp, and various resource projects across both metropolitan and regional areas of Western Australia.Who we're looking for:We are looking for an experienced Project Engineer/Senior Project to join our high calibre pre-contracts team, working with Estimators and the Bid & Proposal Team to price, bid and submit tenders for upcoming construction projects in WA! Drawing on your learnings from a successful engineering delivery career, you will:
  • Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates and proposals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to gather necessary information and insights for estimating purposes.
  • Conduct thorough quantity take-offs and material pricing to ensure comprehensive and competitive bids.
  • Assess project risks and opportunities to develop contingency plans and value engineering strategies.
  • Prepare and present estimates to clients, demonstrating a clear understanding of project scope and requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of estimating activities, including cost databases and historical data analysis.
  • Mobilise to site and deliver your project once awarded!
The successful candidate will be a self-starter with:
  • Familiarity with MRWA, Watercorp, and relevant industry standards and regulations in Western Australia.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and tools, such as Bluebeam, CostX, or equivalent.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex project documents.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and stakeholders.
