Join our team as a Testing Officer based in Notting Hill, Melbourne, and play a hands-on role supporting the Test Engineer in examining, testing, and calibrating cutting-edge road safety enforcement technology and traffic systems.This entry-level, field-based role offers a unique opportunity to get out on the road, with daily travel across Melbourne’s metro area—perfect for someone looking to combine technical skills with variety and real-world impact.After full training, you will be responsible, but not limited to:

Prepare and maintain all tools and equipment required for testing and examining road safety enforcement technology and other traffic systems.
Carry out all testing and calibration activities safely, professionally, and in line with ethical standards.
Provide support to the Project Manager – Traffic Systems as needed, across all areas of the Traffic Systems division.
Ensure traffic management measures are implemented in full compliance with HSE requirements.
Maintain a strong customer focus in all tasks and interactions.
Assist in testing road safety enforcement technology and traffic system equipment in accordance with documented procedures to verify compliance with relevant standards or client specifications.
Accurately record test details, results, observations, and assessments to ensure reliable documentation for reporting and compliance purposes.
Compile clear and comprehensive written reports summarising test results, assessments, and key observations.

QualificationsThe ideal candidate will have:

A Certificate in Electronics (or working towards one), or equivalent experience
Basic knowledge of traffic management and roadside HSE
An understanding of measurement and testing methods for road safety equipment
Familiarity with how road safety enforcement technology works
Good technical writing skills to record test results
A current, valid Australian driver’s licence
