Here, we do incredible work, questioning and challenging, always in the pursuit of excellence.Job DescriptionAbout the OpportunityThe Office of the General Counsel provides a comprehensive range of legal, governance, risk, resilience, internal audit, insurance, compliance and privacy services to help the University achieve its goals while upholding public trust.We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented professional to provide high-quality administrative and paralegal support across our legal, compliance and privacy functions. Working under general direction, you will contribute to the smooth day-to-day operations of these critical service areas, supporting a high-performing team in a fast-paced and purpose-driven environment.Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and paralegal support to the Legal, Compliance and Privacy teams, including managing inboxes, preparing documents, and assisting with reports and presentations.
- Support legal matter management processes, including data entry, file handling, and responding to general enquiries.
- Maintain efficient administrative systems such as registers, databases, and online booking tools; manage records and correspondence.
- Assist with legal processes including leases, renewals, subpoenas, non-party disclosures and external document requests.
- Support the privacy team in handling RTI/IPA requests and privacy complaints.
- Contribute to legal research, drafting, and the development of training materials and legal documents.
- Assist with onboarding new staff and provide general office support as needed.
- Undertake additional duties aligned with the role’s purpose and responsibilities.
- The occupant of this position will hold an associate diploma level qualification with relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant skills, knowledge and experience.
