We create city-sized solutions—building and operating safer, smarter, and more sustainable roads—to solve pressing transport challenges that are slowing cities down.About the roleWe’re seeking a motivated and energetic Communications Coordinator who will be primarily responsible for providing communications support and coordination to the Public Affairs and Communities (PAC) team in Queensland.You’ll join a high performing, experienced team, who manage the development and implementation of communications and stakeholder engagement strategies and activities on projects, initiatives and campaigns.As our Communications Coordinator, you’ll contribute to lasting and positive changes that shape the future of our cities and communities. It’s meaningful, challenging and exciting work.Day-to-day, you will:Draft reports, minutes, agendas and coordinate/schedule meetings and events as requiredLiaise with third party suppliers to book/purchase goods and services including advertising, catering, venues, printing etcProvide support to the Queensland Public Affairs and Communities teamSupport in the implementation of communications campaigns using appropriate internal and external channels, including online, social media, advertising, newsletters and presentationsDraft engaging content including print, online, social media, presentationsAssist in the organisation of corporate events (including on-road community events such as Bridge to Brisbane, Tour de Brisbane)Assist with photography/videography requirements including
organising shoots, coordinating approvals and uploading them
to the centralised databaseContribute to the implementation of community engagement plans, including drafting required materialsAssist with preparation and distribution of project
communications as required, including traffic alerts, letterboxRespond to customer, community and stakeholder
enquiries and complaints (received via email, phone, social
media and in-person)Participate in the Public Affairs communications 24/7 on-call
roster to deal with community and stakeholder issues out of
hoursSupport incident and emergency management communications
