Delivering incisive interpretation of complex economic issues has made us a global leader in this field.We are seeking to recruit professionals at Consultant – Senior Director levels to join our experts in economics and finance with experience in areas including:
- Economic and Socio-economic Impact analysis and assessment
- Competition, market assessments and regulatory matters
- Public policy and program management including benchmarking, effectiveness and efficiency reviews
- Economic forecasting and financial modelling
- Development of business cases
- Undertake economic research and analysis to inform our clients' decisions – including economic, financial and econometric modelling
- Produce reports, presentations and other client deliverables
- Contribute to business development, including identifying new opportunities and preparing proposals and bids
- Build teams, assist in bringing additional expertise into our business
- Connect with our global network of experts, strengthen relationships with our existing clients in business and in government and reach out to new clients with new problems to be resolved
- Develop your existing expertise and acquire new skills by participating in internal and external training and educational opportunities
- Contribute to broader firm initiatives and team development activities
- Stay up to date with developments in Australia's policy and business environment
- Work in small cohesive project teams, which will enable you to get more closely involved with pitches and often have direct access to our key decision makers, both internal and external
- Obtain support from experienced senior members of the team to discuss current projects, brainstorm ideas to solve complex problems and provide general advice around our systems and processes
- Gather experience at the frontlines of economic analysis and the policy debate
- Build strong and enduring relationships with our clients as you become their trusted advisor and holder of independent expert
- Draw upon regular technical training sessions to enhance your professional development, including via our e-learning facilities
- Interact with key stakeholders in the national and international economy
- Collaborate across segments and across the national and international network of experts within the company
- Bachelor's Degree in Economics or related disciplines. Post-graduate qualifications in economics or a related discipline would be highly regarded
- Professional work experience in Australia within a consulting environment
- Evidence of strong analytical skills in economics and finance disciplines.
- Evidence of strengths in teamwork and in the development of teams of professionals
- Knowledge of Australia's economic policy environment
- Experience in the evaluation of government programs and regulation impact is desirable
- Experience in applied economics, analysis of industries and markets
- Ability to manage projects from conceptualisation to delivering the final report
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent analytic skills and attention to detail
- Strong work ethic and integrity and high level of professionalism
- Experience in presenting analysis and results to clients
- Willingness to travel for work
