You will be responsible for providing hands on mechanical service work to our clients and being the technical liaison between the client, product division and our sales team. Your role plays a crucial part in performing and coordinating service activities relating to our machines, spares and wears - keeping our clients operating at full capacity.This position is located in Tomago, and you will report to the Field Service Manager - East.Team you belong toYou will join a team who provides support for Screens and Pumps. We work closely with our internal stakeholders, such as the Sales Area Mangers, workshop team and technical support. Our team culture is positive and we work well together as a team.What you'll doComplete field machine inspectionsProvide hands-on mechanical service work in the field to Metso customersProvide technical liaison services between customers, product divisions and sales personnelPerform technical evaluations and analyse equipment and machine component failuresUnderstand drawings and schematics to ensure correct processes are followedSupervise and oversee Field Service projects on customer sitesEscalate questions and analysis to Technical Support and EngineeringSupport quotation work by providing scope of work, initial planning and costing informationPromote products and services to customersPrepare post site reports, timesheets and expenses after site visitsPromote Technical Support value add and support Technical Support TeamsSome Interstate and some international travel may apply.
