Click to find out more information about GV Health and our services.Click to find out more from our staff about a career and lifestyle at GV Health.About the role:The Neurodevelopmental Psychiatry Clinic (NPC) Coordinator is part of the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service at GV Health. The NPC is responsible for conducting and coordinating the completion of complex autism assessments, along with the multidisciplinary CAMHS Clinicians, Consultant Psychiatrists and Pediatricians. The role entails initial screening of referrals with families, carers and support services to ensure they receive the appropriate service. The NPC Coordinator then determines the specific assessment components that are required and schedules these. There is an expectation the the NPC Coorinator will complete some of these assessments. The NPC Coordinator is also responsible for supporting clinicians in the wider CAMHS program to progress their competencies in screening and assessing for autism, as well as seeking opportunities for partnerships and innovative ways of working with community stakeholders to increase the capacity of other services to complete assessments.The successful candidate will have:
  • Tertiary Qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Psychology, Social Work or Psychiatric Nursing
  • At least 5 years experience working in mental health
  • Expertise and advanced knowledge in relation to Neurodevelopmental Disorders
  • High level organisational skills
