The OrganisationJoin a 236-bed regional hospital that services 10 rural hospitals and multi-purpose health facilities across the region. The health service is embarking on an exciting period of growth with a $250m redevelopment of the base hospital to provide an additional 112 inpatient beds and an expansion of outpatient and support services. Significant upgrades are also underway at rural hospitals.The Child and Adolescent Health Service (CAHS) includes a child and adolescent unit with 11 funded beds and a special care nursery with 8 funded beds.
The Job

As a Consultant Paediatrician, you will collaborate with six other consultants in a family-focused environment, and deliver high-quality, evidence-based care for children and teens
You will have the opportunity to share your knowledge and skills and teach pediatric trainees, along with medical professionals at various levels, including residents, nursing staff, and medical students
As a Consultant Paediatrician, you will contribute to patient safety, audit, research, and service planning activities
The opportunity exists to extend clinical services to local private facilities
You will participate in the shared on-call roster

Requirements

Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Physicians (FRACP) or equivalent
