Our client is seeking an Operations Support Officer to join their Heavy Vehicle Access team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to project and operational outcomes, as well as business planning processes. The successful candidate will not only process Heavy Vehicle permits applications but also liaise with various departments and agencies. This is a dynamic role that requires a keen eye for detail, strong interpersonal skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of work.What you'll do:

Process Heavy Vehicle permits applications ensuring accuracy and quality document management
Provide enquiry response and advice to various organisations relating to class permits
Utilise information systems to input, update, query information and extract data appropriate to class permits processing
Respond effectively to queries, compliments, complaints and appeals
Liaise with other departments, interstate and Commonwealth agencies, transport and industry peak bodies as directed
Write and review departmental correspondence in accordance with departmental standards
Manage work delivery ensuring agreed business outcomes, performance indicators and deadlines are achieved
Ensure a safe and healthy workplace in compliance with workplace health and safety legislation, codes of practice, standards and departmental policy

What you bring:

Proven experience in operations support or similar administrative roles
Strong ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent written communication skills for drafting and reviewing departmental correspondence
Proficiency in using information systems for data input, update, query and extraction
Ability to respond effectively to queries, compliments, complaints and appeals
Experience in liaising with various departments, interstate and Commonwealth agencies, transport industry peak bodies
