- Provide high level governance and secretariat support to State Council, Board and Committees, including agendas, papers and minutes.
- Draft, review and implement organisational policies and procedures, including Code of Conduct, Complaints Handling, Fraud and Cash Handling.
- Support the development of frameworks for governance, compliance and risk management.
- Ensure accurate recordkeeping and maintain governance documentation.
- Prepare reports, briefing papers and correspondence to support decision making.
- Contribute governance expertise to strategic projects and cross-directorate initiatives.
- Collaborate with Legal, Risk and Safeguarding teams to maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or strong experience in governance, law, compliance or risk management.
- Demonstrated experience implementing governance frameworks and supporting Boards or Committees.
- Strong project management and policy development skills, with the ability to deliver on competing priorities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with confidence to liaise at Board and executive level.
- Proven ability to draft accurate reports, governance papers and compliance documents under tight timeframes.
- Understanding of legal, regulatory and compliance issues impacting the not-for-profit sector.
- High attention to detail, strong organisational skills and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
