Join our team at RCH and play a key role for maintaining a high standard of facility maintenance of the building assets and its services and ensuring a safe working environment. Reporting to Facility Services Manager, you'll help deliver high-quality outcomes that support our essential services.What You'll DoThis role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:Carry out maintenance and repair activities, within skill set, to meet contract conditions and customer requirementsPerform testing, fault finding, change outs, new installations, scheduled servicing and planned maintenance tasks on plant, equipment, buildings and fixturesCarry out and/or assist with minor alterations, modifications and equipment installations, as required from time to timePlan and schedule own work to meet required timelines and outputsEnsure risks are accurately identified, contained and appropriate countermeasures are implementedProactively identify, report and eliminate hazards and incidents in accordance with company policies or proceduresActively participate in Zero Harm initiatives to support a safe working environmentAssist in measuring costs, efficiencies, and service delivery, and support continuous improvement initiativesActively listen to and build positively on others' ideas to contribute to a collaborative and high-performing team cultureWhat You'll BringRelevant Trade experience and knowledge of current industry standards related to building and trades servicesSound knowledge of workplace health and safety practicesCompetence in the safe use, storage and handling of power toolsExcellent communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with all stakeholdersFlexibility and willingness to work a variety of shifts as requiredProfessional personal presentation - well-groomed and presentableMore than anything, you'll bring a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes for our clients.Why Downer?At Downer, we plan, create, and sustain essential public services across Australia and New Zealand.
