Location: Bridgewater VICAbout the Role:We are seeking anexperienced Electricianto join a leading flour milling operation. This critical role will focus on ensuring all plant and machinery operates at peak performance through proactive maintenance and expert fault diagnosis.Your primary responsibility will involve maintaining and repairing site plant, equipment and facilities and implementing effective preventative maintenance programs—spanning milling equipment, machinery, buildings and facilities. You will collaborate closely with engineering teams, including maintenance personnel and production staff, to ensure optimal operational efficiency and safety compliance.This role offers a unique opportunity to work with specialized milling equipment and industrial machinery while contributing to essential food production operations. Strong technical problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently are essential.Key Responsibilities:
- Engineer, maintain and repair all site plant, equipment and facilities
- Implement and ensure effectiveness of preventative maintenance programs
- Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment to diagnose machine faults
- Coordinate and carry out comprehensive servicing of milling equipment and machinery
- Participate in planning and execution of engineering projects
- Maintain compliance with WH&S legislation, regulations and company standards
- Work flexibly as part of a team, adapting role and duties to operational requirements
- Actively cooperate with personnel to promote efficient and friendly working environment
- Maintain flexibility for overtime and manage call-out requirements as needed

- Minimum trade qualification in engineering (Certificate III Electromechanical)
- Expertise in predictive and preventative engineering programsand best practices
- Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised with strong problem-solving skills
- Experience with fault finding and repair of industrial machinery
- Knowledge of WH&S legislation, regulations and standards
- Experience with PLC programming (advantageous)
- Previous experience in food production environments (advantageous)
- Proficient with diagnostic equipment and maintenance tools
- Current Driver's License, Forklift, Elevated Work Platform (EWP) and confined space accreditation (advantageous)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility for weekend work and overtime requirements
