About the Company:RDO Equipment is the world's largest and most trusted John Deere and Vermeer equipment dealers, selling and supporting John Deere Construction & Forestry, and Agricultural & Turf machinery, as well as the full range of Vermeer equipment.About the Role:We have an opportunity at our Richlands, Brisbane branch for a Service Technician Leading Hand. A varied role that will see you working on a range of equipment across John Deere Construction and Forestry machinery.This workshop-based role will entail from general service and repairs to major overhauls and new machine assembly.This job will involve:

Assist with the supervision of day-to-day workshop operations

Supervise and support allocated employees' work schedules assisting with technical knowledge

where needed.

Provide technical support to the Service Manager in the mechanical and electrical areas ensuring we are

providing customers with the correct fault-finding information

Diagnose, inspect, recondition, repair, assemble, and service equipment as assigned.

Document machine information and repairs completed on work order, including parts, time and fluids

used

Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support

resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer serviceYou will bring the following skills and experience to the role:

Relevant Trade Certificate - Heavy Diesel Fitter/ Mobile Plant Mechanic/ Diesel Mechanic or Equivalent.

A current and valid driver's licence

Experience in the service and maintenance of heavy diesel products, including engine overhauls and major

repairs

Excellent knowledge and understanding of the design & function of John Deere equipment

will be highly regarded

Have an engaging work approach and strong customer service focus.

A mature attitude and logical and methodical approach to your work
