We are seeking a talented C# / .NET Developer for a critical project involving the development and running of a Multiplayer (socket) communication service. This will initially be for our key titleExperience with cloud hosting (preferably AWS) and working with game engines (preferable Unity) are a must have.What your typical day will look like:
  • Developing and maintaining a robust multiplayer communication service using C# / .NET Core. Work with backend technologies like Memcached, REDIS, SQL, and Web Services.
  • Develop and maintain deployment and monitoring solutions (in conjunction with existing infrastructure code) for the system.
  • Assist in Unity development to ensure seamless integration and efficient messaging.
  • Assist in web services development, or working closely with the web service team, for integration with existing services.
  • Debug and optimize multi-threaded and multi-server applications.
  • Ensure high performance and stability of services over long uptime periods.
Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience in writing C# services, especially with long uptime, using socket connections.
  • Strong ability to debug complex multi-threaded and multi-server applications.
  • Familiarity with socket communication and related technologies.
  • Knowledge of gaming development and experience working with shared libraries (Unity preferred).
  • Understanding of backend integration with Memcached, REDIS, SQL, and Web Services.

  • This role involves very close collaboration with game developers and web service developers.
  • You will be working to Australia East Cost time zone and must be an Australian resident.
